Let’s get to know you over a cuppa!
I’ll really listen to what you are looking for, then it’s time for you to choose & try on a lovely selection of dresses.
You have dedicated time just for you in our beautiful upstairs bridal suite, & soon you’ll have a really good idea of what suits you & hopefully some ‘fuzzy’ feelings that make you feel amazing!
The boutique has a lovely collection of carefully chosen designers covering a nice selection of dresses, sizes (8-28) & budgets (£995-£2’999).
There is also ‘The One & Only’ dresses offering immediate stock from previous seasons. Perfect for those closer dated weddings & more purse friendly at half price or less…. but when they’re gone, they’re gone!

Many people find the perfect dress on their first visit. Please ensure you have the most important opinions that you value with you – but not too many. I recommend no more than 3-4 so you’re not too overwhelmed.
Your booking fee is redeemable against your dress purchase, & can be used towards your 50% deposit required to secure your dress. Any balance is due within 4 months or prior to any alterations.
You’ll receive an ‘I Said Yes’ tote bag with everything you need for your dress journey, as well as a lucky silver sixpence! Your beautiful dress is supplied with a complimentary breathable fabric dress cover, stored if required until the wedding (up to one year) & a steaming service to ensure all is perfect for The Big Day!

Bridal Revisit

Let's make sure you've found 'The One'!
Although many people find the perfect dress on their first visit, a revisit can sometimes be needed to be 100% sure that you've found your dream dress... & bring that one person who's opinion is most important!
We can re-try on that favourite dress from your first visit & check if all those wonderful feelings come flooding back!
A 50% deposit is required when you find 'The One' with any balance due within 4 months or prior to any alterations.

The boutique has prom dresses available year around & offers a lovely collection of over 250 fabulous dresses covering a huge variety of colour, styles & sizes for one of the best choices in the area.
The RRP of our dresses are mainly £280-£599 & we mark every hanger with a budgeting system so you know which is which. Payment options are available, PLUS - Watch out for 'Early Bird' specials available August-December.
There is also 'The One & Only' dresses offering immediate stock from previous seasons, & perfect for those looking for a more purse friendly option at half price or less.... but when they're gone, they're gone!
Your private appointment is for 1 hour - with no one else around! We'll try on a lovely selection of dresses. You'll soon have a really good idea of what suits you & hopefully just one will make you feel fabulous & ready for any red carpet event!!

Appointments are 30 minutes so an opportunity to try on a couple of dresses…. it’s therefore recommended that you have an idea of what you’re looking for & potentially ready if you find something!!

You will need a 50% deposit to secure your dress, receive a hanging dress bag, as well as all of our usual 14 & Sixpence service - even though you only paid a fraction of the original RRP.

Please note:
- Sadly we are unable to hold dresses.
- Dresses ‘off the peg’ may show signs of trying on. - Please check carefully, as no refunds/exchanges.
- Please bring just 1 or 2 special people with you.

What a wonderful experience! From the moment we arrived at Fourteen and Sixpence, every aspect of my daughter's consultation was fantastic. From the range of stunning prom dresses in every style and colour, to Cathy's enthusiasm and skill in suggesting pieces that really suited my daughter, our visit was fun and exciting from start to finish. The only difficulty was choosing just one! Once ordered, the dress came very quickly and was as beautiful as hoped. Little touches like the throne photos and included gift rounded off a great experience. I thoroughly recommend this wonderful prom and bridal boutique

We had an extremely enjoyable and satisfactory experience choosing a prom dress at this shop. There was an excellent selection of beautiful dresses and Cathy was brilliant at both selecting the right styles for my daughter and making the interaction great fun. My daughter had a difficult job choosing between three stunning dresses and is delighted with her choice. I would thoroughly recommend this lovely bridal and occasion wear boutique.
